Beautifully illustrated by Edna Miller, this is a story about a young mousekin parent who wonders how to teach the first litter of offspring to survive outside the nest in the tree. Mousekin runs into a group of other babies and tries out the life lessons on these youngsters while in secret the mousekin family watch.
